We The People...The Citizen
and the Constitution is an instructional program on the history and
principles of American constitutional democracy for elementary,
middle, and high school students. The program is based on curricular
materials developed by
The Center for Civic Education
and acclaimed by educators. Simulated congressional
hearings, excellent for performance assessment, are built into the
curriculum. Classes are
encouraged to conduct simulated congressional hearings.
These hearings allow upper elementary, middle, and high school
students to demonstrate their knowledge of the Constitution and the
Bill of Rights. We the
People is aligned with the Ohio academic content standards for
the social studies and for the English language arts.
